Internships

It is our goal to help train our younger generations to become Aleut leaders. To that end, we connect our Aleut interns with organizations to provide our future leaders with valuable work experience, career exploration and mentorship.

Interested in becoming an intern? Eligible Aleut shareholders and registered descendants are high school students, recent high school graduates, or recent post-secondary graduates (must be at least 16 years old). We will advertise internship opportunities on the Aleut careers page and our social medias as they become available, as well as on our Facebook. If you would like to become an internship host organization, please reach out.

Cash for Good Grades

To encourage our youth to attend and excel at school, we conduct $100 cash prize drawings for students who maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or above and for students with outstanding attendance (present 90% of the school year).

Funding is limited and available for voting shareholders of The Aleut Corporation (Aleut) and registered descendants of a voting Aleut shareholder. Drawings are conducted for each category twice a year following the end of the winter and spring semesters (usually in early February and July) . Three winners are randomly selected to receive $100 cash cards for each category, including one youth who resides in the Aleut Region, one youth who resides in Alaska outside of the Aleut Region, and one who resides outside of Alaska. The youth may not win more than one award per semester.

Cash for Good Grades Policy

To apply, please send a copy of the report card for the immediately preceding semester to The Aleut Foundation via email at [email protected].

Report card must clear show the following:

  • Student’s name
  • Time period being reported on
  • Student’s grades
  • Student’s attendance report
  • Name and contract information of the student’s school
